NDGW Home

Julia Morgan, the famed architect of Hearst Castle, drew the plans for our present facility. Formally dedicated in January 1929, the Home is located in the center of San Francisco. The NDGW Home is a four-story, reinforced concrete building with a Museum, Community Meeting Facilities, Public Reference Library (Pioneer Roster), and guest rooms for Native Daughters of the Golden West Members and their guests to visit the city of San Francisco. Tours are available by appointment (phone 415-861-9611 or email NDHome@ndgw.org).

Childrens Foundation

The Foundation serves children from infancy to age eighteen. All services must be administered within the State of California. Native Daughters Members, agencies, or individuals submit a confidential grant application along with a financial statement. An application is to be accompanied by a report from the doctor, hospital, or clinic which is to provide the services as well as the nature of the disability, the service needed and the cost thereof.
