OUR MISSION – The mission of the Native Daughters of the Golden West, as one of the oldest associations of diverse California-born leaders, is to preserve California’s history and better the quality of life through active participation in education and community service.
In support of our mission, Members manage three charitable causes…
NDGW Charitable Foundation Inc, 501(c)3 Tax ID# 26-3793035, is the primary donation arm of the organization. Past projects have included lighthouse preservation, mission restoration, educational scholarships, environmental projects, veterans’ welfare, and more!
NDGW Home, 501(c)3 Tax ID# 94-1251112, works to preserve the historic NDGW facility dedicated in 1929 and designed by famed architect Julia Morgan.
NDGW Childrens Foundation, 501(c)3 Tax ID #94-3011278, serves the interests of children who are not eligible for any other existing aid. When a child needs medical, dental, occupational or educational therapy, the Foundation is there to provide the help needed for those services.
MEMBERSHIP: Individuals who are born in California and are at least 16 years of age are welcome to join a Parlor (chapter).
